Let us prepare ourselves to receive in response to that which we have left

Let us prepare ourselves to receive in response to that which we have left

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake, will receive a hundred times more and will be given eternal life. Matthew 19:29
Each person seeks God in a very particular way. That is why it becomes so hard for us to walk the way his Word commands, since we want Him to adapt to us and understand us. The worst part is that we justify ourselves and have arguments to support what we do.
We cannot continue like this, for we are deceiving ourselves. Even worse, we keep ourselves from receiving for doing things our way. When the Word tells us that we must leave something, we cannot customize it and do it 10 percent, 40 percent or anyway we deem right. If that were the case, so it would be written.
He makes his truth known to us and, as hard as it may be for us to submit to it, we have no choice but to obey, for compliance with it brings reward. Therefore, let us not keep customizing the Word of God. If He tells us to leave something, let us leave it even if it hurts.
For it is written that everything we leave for his sake will be compensated a hundred times more… And the greatest reward: eternal life. Let us no longer think; let us just do as He says and prepare ourselves to receive in response to that which we have left for his sake.
