Each one of them has something beautiful to give

Each one of them has something beautiful to give

And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are these all the children?” And he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and behold, he is tending the sheep.” Then Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him; for we will not sit down until he comes here.” 1 Samuel 16:11
Four seasons the year has, and each one has its name, differing one from the other, to show that they are not alike. This resembles a family of several siblings, who have the same parents, but each one with a different personality.
There are times when we want our children to be all alike. This is a mistake, for each one has his identity, which will be the basis for his purpose. Parents must learn to love them as they are and not make them equal. We need to know that each one of them has something beautiful to give and they express it their own way. Let us learn to love them as they are for otherwise we would spend our lives trying for one to act as the other, and we will never make the most of their virtues.
Just as we enjoy Sun, rain, cold or heat during the year, let us enjoy our children: the playful, the silent, the expressive, and the funny. They will make us experience beautiful moments, while forming a large family for Christ. We can visualize the expressive one as a preacher, teacher or evangelist; the silent one as an intercessor, prophet, or worshipper; all to be used by God.
Like David, who remained isolated for grazing sheep, while his brothers were in charge working and taking on responsibilities of the household. But this one, quiet, not very expressive, was the one God chose to rule over Israel.
