So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you.” Judges 16:6
Wickedness is covert, and it becomes difficult for us to realize those who threaten us. It dresses up and presents itself as beautiful, willing to deceive us as did the serpent with Eve. So we cannot be careless because evil is willing to do anything and it has no mercy, for its goal is to destroy us. Anything goes, as long as it achieves its purpose.
That is why it is so important for us to have a relationship with God, for our spiritual senses to be open and not to let evil prosper. We can expose it in time to disable its plans and leave them without effect; for a distraction can cost us our life. However, we can avoid it, so it does not happen to us as it did to Samson, who believed in Delilah and lost the anointing.
He was a man chosen by God to kill Philistines, but he was so easily led astray by a woman who seduced him with her charms. Let us open our eyes and always ask the Lord to show us the true intentions of those who are close to us. If it is a Delilah, before she activates her plan, we will be waiting to unmask her, with all authority and power in Christ Jesus.
