I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. John 17:4
Our way through life is momentary. God determined a time, but only He knows how long it is. According to our purpose, He will determine the years we will spend in the world of the living. But we must make the most of them, focusing on God’s call so the work that was entrusted to us is not lost due to distractions coming only to make us lose focus.
Jesus only took three years to leave a legacy that, even after two thousand years, remains the same, as in the early days. But the price He had to pay was very high because of everything that wanted to tear Him away from the purpose. He made it go away first and let nothing influence Him. He knew every step He took was sowing a seed that would affect mankind forever, certain that his seed would not be lost. He knew where He deposited it. Hence, before dying, He said to the Father, with satisfaction: “It is done!”
Let us focus as Apostle Paul, who said: “… reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal”. Let us look at ours, and reach forward to it without distraction.
