Is He pleased with our sacrifices?

Is He pleased with our sacrifices?

Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? […] Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Isaiah 58:5-7
How to please God? Is He pleased with our sacrifices? These questions must trouble us and make us seek the answer in Heaven. So many sacrifices we make and believe that God is well pleased with them, but it is not so.
As many sacrifices as we make, if our heart is not clean, He does not receive them. No matter how many days we spend fasting, how much sackcloth, if there is not a sincere heart to repent from our sins and willing to drop hypocrisy, lying, rancor, and lack of forgiveness, envy, jealousy and anger. He will not receive them for not being aligned to his will; therefore the offering will not be accepted.
He is pleased if we present ourselves as we are when we humble ourselves, not keeping up appearances, so we can acknowledge our mistakes and give Him the offering He is waiting for. When we acknowledge that which pleases Him, we begin to help the hungry, provide shelter for the needy, clothe the one who has no clothes and not turn our back on our own flesh. We do nothing with abstaining from bread and comfort as a sacrifice, if we are neglecting those who need our help.
Stretch out your hand and set your heart for giving.  You do not need to have much to do so, but only the desire, and God will be pleased with your works. Then, when you fast, He will bow because He is amazed at what you have done.
