Let us guard our steps

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong. Ecclesiastes 5:1
The house of God is the place where his presence dwells. Many do not know this and they are disrespectful to it with their actions and attitudes, for they do not know it is sacred. But everything we do at that place must honor Him.
We must be respectful even with our thoughts, for this way we honor Him. His house is the place where He manifests, talks to us, encourages us, heals us, delivers us, gives us correction and discipline, and anything He wants to do. It is also where we come to worship Him, praise Him, glorify Him, cry out to Him and surrender to Him in body, soul and spirit, so He may see our heart and the spiritual need to be changed and transformed.
Behaving as fools shows what God is to us. We cannot keep pretending that we have communion with Him, it being a lie. Let us guard our steps and give Him a true sacrifice, for God cannot be mocked.
