Let us not judge when someone enters the cave

David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: […] And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. 1 Samuel 22:1-2

Everyone thought that David had failed when he entered the cave Adullam, but God’s ways, no one understands them. This was the way God used for David to train a group of people who were injured, mournful and embittered. This army of men, who, to the eyes of others, were worth nothing, was potentially a powerful army, which would be with David during battles; but they needed someone to heal them and make them see how valuable they were.

David was the person they needed so they could see the value they had, by being healed and delivered, to then be trained with all sorts of weapons, for the purpose was to prepare an army to defend a nation.

Let us not judge when someone enters the cave, for we do not know what God’s purpose is and, just like David, he could be the instrument to lift up many who are in need of a deliverer.
