If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. Deuteronomy 28:1
God is interested in us knowing his will. That is why He talks to us through his Word; in dreams, prophecies, visions, so we act on it and everything may go well for us. But, in spite of God laying everything out to make himself known and understood, we prefer to keep on acting on our will and not his. However, in the end actions will speak for themselves because results are fruitless.
Yet the worst is that the time we invested shall never be recovered, so we will not be blessed, for neither obeying nor submitting to the One who knows all things and made them before we were born. But such is the mind of man; it resists, for it always wants to do what it likes or sees fit.
Even if what God says seems inexplicable or misunderstood, let us never stop acting on it because our mind is very tiny compared to that of our Creator, and we do not have the capacity to understand what God is telling us.
Abraham did not understand when God told him to give Isaac to Him in sacrifice. But, though he did not understand, he obeyed, and the result was glorious. Let us hear God and obey for our lives to be filled with his glory.
