We must be patient and harvest the best fruit from circumstances

So it was not really you who sent me here, but God. He has made me the king’s highest official. I am in charge of his whole country; I am the ruler of all Egypt. Genesis 45:8

The circumstances in which find ourselves appear to be an attack from the enemy, but we do not realize that many of them are induced by God so our character is made perfect. If we do not work on it, something to make us stumble in our lives, that it will become.

Joseph had a gift to interpret dreams, but at a mere 16 years of age he did not know how to handle himself. Therefore, his immaturity and inexperience led him to provoke his brothers, stirring up jealousy, envy and quarrels among them. It was evident that he needed to become mature so he could use the gift God had granted him, the right way.

The process he had to endure was painful, but necessary, so he could become mature and be second in authority in Egypt, a position he held until his death. So, he showed signs of not being the same young man who left the house of his father Jacob, but he had learned, from each experience, the very best. When Joseph had an encounter with his brothers, he showed maturity and dominion over circumstances.

We must be patient and harvest the best fruit from circumstances that we live through. At the same time, we need to know that we have a gift from God, which cannot stand by itself, if there is no character to support it.
