I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 1 Corinthians 2:3
It is important to acknowledge which ones of our weak areas dominate us and do not let us move forward, keeping us in a state of mediocrity, conformism and acceptance. Just like the night, they do not let themselves be seen or felt, making us trip over everything.
The first thing we should do is ask for the help of the Lord to show which ones they are. Second, we must accept that they are in us. The desire to overcome them, it comes third. And fourth, we have to fight so we uproot them.
Help from those who are by our side, it benefits us. They will also contribute through the whole process, helping us to not lose heart, to improve ourselves, while they encourage us to change for the better.
Each day we should make the effort to change and attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Let us not withdraw into ourselves or believe that there is nothing to change, for there is. But pride, one of the toughest weaknesses, does not allow us to accept that there are others not yet surrendered to the hands of our Lord, for Him to work on them and perfect us.
