To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood. Revelation 1:5
It is important to give value to what we are in Christ, regardless of the time that has passed since we gave our hearts to the Lord. We must always bear this in mind because, if not, we can familiarize ourselves and forget where He brought us from. When this happens, our hearts harden and we stop being thankful; we forget the life we previously had and how God rescued us.
The one who is grateful never forgets, and always finds a reason to publicize what the Lord did. That is why David said “O my soul, praise the Lord, and forget not all his benefits”; since we lose the essence of our life in Christ when we forget, we no longer acknowledge our Savior.
Even though time has passed, let us never forget but always bear in mind the day when Jesus came into our lives. Had He not done it, we would be under the yoke of darkness, in trespasses and sins. Now that we are free, who will make us forget the power that acted to rescue us from the world?
