Word of life and not death

Word of life and not death

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:36-37
How easy it is for us, when we are upset or in a bad mood, to let off steam and say whatever comes out of our mouth, with no consideration about hurting or mistreating a life. In most cases we do this, but do not realize it because it has become part of us. We make no effort to change and cast off such a bad habit which damages our testimony for God, family, brethren and those in the world.
Many of us keep doing things out of ignorance, but his Word says that every idle word we speak, we will have to give account thereof in the day of judgement, for by it we shall be justified or condemned.
It is necessary for us to reflect on our behavior. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to reveal our condition to us and make room for Him to start transforming our lives with a permanent attitude for pleasing God.
Let us yearn to give word of life and not death, since just one word justifies or condemns us.
