You were told that your foolish desires will destroy you and that you must give up your old way of life with all its bad habits. Ephesians 4:22<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are used to acting impulsively, letting ourselves be carried away by circumstances and responding the way everyone does. But we are not like others; we must make a difference, since our old man has to die. This is accomplished by being aware that our old nature is at work and it does not allow the new nature to be manifested, which is as important as salvation, since we gain nothing with being saved if we are not transformed.<\/p>\n

What good is it for us Christians, if our lives do not reflect change? This is not an option; it is a necessity because, when we give up on the old man, evidence speaks for itself. It is a testimony to many who knew us before having given our lives to the Lord.<\/p>\n

Acknowledging that there are areas which dominate us, it is very important, since this is the first step; the second thing is that we have to give up on each one of them; and third is pulling them off so they have no more power. This involves time, effort, patience and absolute decision to change into a new life. We will succeed with the help of the Holy Spirit, and what we were will be nothing like what we will be.<\/p>\n
