Let nothing keep us from doing what He has declared

So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?” John 18:11

There are unexpected situations that force us to make decisions, and our future will depend on them. For this reason, before we decide, we must know what the will of God is; for we will learn what we have to do once we get to know it. Many people approach us during those moments to give us their opinion, but this is not enough, for what God says to us is what counts. For this reason, we must be patient and not let ourselves be influenced by the environment that surrounds us and leads us to make wrong decisions, which we will regret our whole lives.

We must follow the example of Ruth, who did the opposite of what we would do if we were in her situation. She showed that she was willing to obey God regardless of the risks she would have to face by separating herself from family, friends and siblings.

This teaches us that decisions may not be made on feelings, for we will always do what pleases us, that which entails the least sacrifice. The result will be seen in a short time, and we will realize the mistake we made. Let us ask the Lord for guidance because He is the One who knows our purpose. So, He will know how and where to take us for said purpose to be accomplished.
