He will always defend us

Now when Daniel knew that the document was signed, he entered his house (now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously. Daniel 6:10

Taking justice into our own hands is not wise but foolish. Letting God take justice can become very hard for us, for we always want to do things our way. The soul immediately induces us to defend ourselves and not wait for the justice from God.

When we go and take justice into our own hands, God turns away and takes his support from us, for not taking Him into account. The consequences to this are evident, which nobody can stop, for that is how we wanted it.

In a battle without God, defeat is guaranteed; but a battle with Him is won already. That is why we must remain calm and confident that He will always defend us when we seek Him and tell Him to do it. Daniel is an example to imitate, for when the order was given to throw him into the pit of lions because he did not worship their gods, he did not defend himself but sought the One who was going to do him justice, his God. He bowed to his knees, prayed and thanked Him.

The support from God was so great that He sent an angel who shut the mouths of the lions. So, be confident and do not defend yourself. Let Him do it, for He will send an angel so they do not harm you.
