If you make a promise, keep it

If you make a promise, keep it

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalms 50:14-15
So many times has our heart had the intention to offer God praise and worship, but we stayed only in the intention. For we do not do it and, furthermore, we dare make a covenant with Him, but never come to fulfill it.
We take very lightly the promises we make to Him, without considering the consequences brought by taking his name in vain. We tend to make promises when we are under fire and see no way out of our problem, but God is looking for those who sacrifice themselves, fulfill their covenants and persevere.
We have promised much, but we have fulfilled little. He has no responsibility with the one who does not keep his promises. But He does have it with the one who does, and He says “Call on me on the day of sickness, when hell has risen up, when waters make you drown, because I will deliver you, and you will honor me with praise, worship obedience and sacrifice.”
