Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24
There is such passiveness in us that we cannot move forward. We are always waiting for tomorrow to come for doing things, but tomorrow never comes because we truly do not want to do it.
God gives us the strength and the bravery to do it, but we do not want to take on that position because we have to do many things that we do not like in order to overcome passiveness, a state of comfort where we wait for others to do what we are not willing to do.
We are setting a bad example for next generations because they see in us little effort, sloppiness, lack of interest, lack of enthusiasm, and nothing to drive them to improve and change. We must make an effort to come out of such a state, and acknowledge that Christ calls us to give the extra mile and not to be conformist.
