Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. Exodus 2:23
God knows our affliction and our pain; he is not indifferent, as we think. On the contrary, He is looking for a people who rebel to their condition of slavery and cry out ceaselessly until the breaking of their chains.
There is a conformist nature residing in us, not willing to fight, which lets itself be dragged by circumstances. We get used to it and let it become part of ourselves. God does not want that. On the contrary, He wants to awaken a spirit of courage and fight in which we can remain all the time with raised hands and lifting up our voices without stopping.
The conformist dies in the desert waiting for an opportunity, but we must seek opportunities because Christ prepared the way for us to take them. We only have to declare his word, which is the guarantee of our deliverance.
The people of God spent many years in slavery. Pharaoh enraged against them more and more each time. But the people rebelled and cried out to the Lord; and God listened to their cry, because of their bondage. Thus, He acted immediately in favor of them. When we cry out, He acts and sends his backup in order to open the way for us and break the yokes.
