And you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
To many, Jesus is just another name. To others, He is a prophet. And to you, who is He? We need to be very clear that Jesus is the Son of God, who gave himself on the cross to redeem us from sin. Let us be sure of the power that is in his name, which is above all name. He defeated powers, rulers, principalities and hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Therefore, when we say “JESUS” with conviction, we know that there is backup in the spiritual world.
Religion has changed the concept of JESUS. It shows us a defeated one and gives more power to images made by the hands of men. But the Word of God says that “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.
Jesus is the Word become flesh. He stripped all his glory off to become a man and suffer for us so we were saved; He annulled the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, when He snatched the keys of death and rose again. He ascended to Heaven; then He sat down at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us.
JESUS is our advocate, who is willing to defend us from everything and protect us from evil. For this reason, we cannot continue and not know the authority that is in his name. You only have to say “JESUS, JESUS!” to witness the power that is in Him.
