A woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. Matthew 26:7

How hard it is for us to give. We are so used to receiving, and we only want that: others to make gifts, sow or give offerings to us. Our hearts remain distant and indifferent when it comes to giving.

We question and reason why we cannot give and maintain a defensive attitude, which justifies our actions. This way, our lives become miserable. We submit ourselves to yokes of misery, shortage and poverty, due to the fact of only thinking that we cannot do it. Being poor does not mean that you have nothing. It is a curse that prevents you from giving, even out of the little you have.

Your mindset has to change for you to understand that what you fail to give will not make you richer and what you do give will not make you poorer. Being rich comes from a grateful heart that never sees what one does not have, but always looks at that which one has for giving.

The Lord needs our hearts to pour out for giving Him the best, that which is more costly to us, for we have so much to give that we do not need others to give to us.
