With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless. Psalms 18:25
We always ask ourselves “How can I please God?”, “What should I do or not to make Him feel pleased” with us and answer us when we need Him. The answer is very simple: God expects us to be faithful and not fail Him.
Being faithful and not failing Him means having faith, staying together, learning to smile in the midst of trials, accepting in love the dealings from God, always obeying the calling, keeping his covenant until eternity; that even when the sun does not rise and the winds beat against us, we always confess that He is our Lord. The way we respond, it shows who He is to us and the immense love we have for Him, so He is above every circumstance.
God is not expecting us to fill Him with flattering and promises. He wants our heart to simply have the word FAITHFUL written on it. Then his backup will come like the rain in times of draught, filling the fields with a new aroma for bearing the best fruit, even when it is not harvest time.
The work of the Lord rests upon those men and women who were put to the test, like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who did not bow to other gods. The fire did not harm their bodies, nor their hair singed, their robes did not scorch, and there was no smell of fire on them. It was so because they trusted Him and did not obey the command of the king, since they would rather lay down their bodies than surrender to another god different from their God.
