Let us not give so much power to money

Let us not give so much power to money

Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.” Hebrews 13:5
If we analyze and see how our daily living develops, we realize that everything revolves around money. It is responsible for us losing our sleep, making us despair and do crazy things.
Money affects everyone: the rich and the poor; the poor because they do not have any and want to, the rich because they are afraid of investing it and failing. Who gets this? If we do not take dominion, it will drag us and we will become puppets handled by something that is just a piece of paper, which is broken and destroyed out of nothing.
But, in spite of this, the power it exercises is so great that we even forget who our Provider is, who the Owner of the gold and silver, and what is written in his Word: “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.” Let us not give so much power to money; on the contrary, let us take power away from it and trust God.
If we do not have any, He will provide for us until it overabounds, for “He will not let the righteous be forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” If we have some, let us trust that He will give us wisdom to know how to invest it and peace to know nothing that has been given to us will be taken away… For He will rebuke the devourer.
